Christmas Decor in Country Style natural, warm and unforgettable
Christmas is the one celebration I never do by halves. From the first Sunday of Advent, the decorating begins – but not with red plastic shine and blinking fairy lights. Rather with fir branches that smell of the forest. With white candles allowed to drip. With my grandmother's wooden figures that I lift out of their box every year and would never part with. Christmas decor in country style is, for me, the loveliest proof that less really is more.

The principle: natural and pared back no plastic shine, only real materials
Country-style Christmas decor works with materials that come from nature: fir branches, pine cones, wax, wood, ceramic, linen. No plastic decorations, no cheap polystyrene snow, no foil ribbons. Instead: the scent of real fir, the drip of real candles, the patina of old wooden figures.
The colour palette: white, natural tones, raw wood, gold in muted shades, perhaps a hint of burgundy or fir green. No red-and-green clash, no silver glitter.

My Christmas tree is never perfect. Sometimes it has a bare patch, the baubles hang unevenly and the tinsel – if I use any at all – always sits askew. I love it exactly like that.
